Salaam Shalom Media believe that young people play a key role in creating a more tolerant and cohesive society, and we make sure their voices are heard through the Proud2B Project.
The Proud2B project is aimed at empowering young people to be ambassadors of their schools and communities. During the 6 week programme, we work closely with two schools from different areas of Bristol. Young people are brought together to explore both their own and others identity. They are exposed to a host of creative activities that equip them with the skills and confidence to challenge intolerance.
If you are interested in bringing this project to your school, please email Shabana Kausar;

“The best aspect of the session was watching the group dynamics and witnessing the (low) level of knowledge and experiences shown by the eight children in the group along with the openness of children in speaking with strangers and their willingness to embrace new experiences and knowledge. Watching non-teaching visitors work with children in creative ways to introduce completely new ideas and opportunities.” Juliet Huddart, Chair of Governors, Shirehampton Primary School
